  2. In an interview Dave refers to it as “the still beating heart of my marriage”. Around 9 minutes in Dave talks about it.

A sjambok is a South African whip. I remember in an interview Dave talking about how they played around with the word to arrive at the song title. I’ll try and find it.

The first syllable is pronounced in between ‘sh’ and a soft ‘j’, like the French ‘je’.
